We Know How it Feels
Thanks Helping Hands – Food Pantry
We had our food pantry Saturday April 23, 2022 on the hottest weekend of this year. While we may never catch up with McDonalds in terms of how many we served, we did serve 39 families today. We enjoy being able to share food, prayer, and a relationship with our guests. We owe a big thank you to our faithful donors from the community that dropped much needed items off today! We ended up with many more names on our prayer list today than usual. We could certainly use help praying for our guests…
Support for Youth to NYC
The community support for our hot dog sales is humbling. We raised $339 today (March 5) to help send two of our youth to National Youth Conference in Ft. Collins, CO this summer.
Food Pantry Outreach Growing
We had a busy food pantry Saturday Feb 26! Tied for the highest number of people served! 324 people have been served at the food pantry since the start of the year. 16% more than the same period last year. Higher food and gas prices are not friendly to the family wallet. Our blessing box seems to be need of restocking more often now.
We have some faithful donors that drop off food and money each time the pantry is open. Other faithful donors stop by to place bags of food in the blessing box. Truly special people in the community that have no other connection to us. Their support is truly needed. This week we received word that we are being awarded a financial grant to help keep the pantry doors open. The pantry relies on the donations of the community, members, and grants.
