Since the beginning, Brethren have shied away from creeds and other expressions of faith that might encourage rigidity and traditionalism. This does not mean that we are ungrateful for the written truths from the past or that we never write down what we believe. But we do so humbly, realizing that the Holy Spirit gives new understandings from the Scriptures and new assignments to live and witness for him in both word and deed. Our roots go deep into the soil of the New Testament and the rich heritage that has come from it; but as we abide in Christ, he is always free to change our hearts and the fruit he desires to produce in us.

One acrostic that states, in part, the way that we seek to live out our faith together spells the word “LIFE”. At Living Faith we desire to experience and share the abundant life that God offers through Jesus Christ. We believe it is available when together we:

LOVE. God with our whole heart, mind, soul and strength and love our neighbor as ourselves. (WORSHIP AND SERVICE)

INVITE. others to join us on the journey of knowing, loving and serving Jesus Christ as Lord, Savior and friend. (EVANGELISM)

FOLLOW. Jesus faithfully as the Holy Spirit transforms us and we focus on who Jesus is, what he taught, and how he lived. (DISCIPLESHIP)

ENJOY. our relationship with God and each other as together we gratefully receive and generously share the material and spiritual blessings God pours into our lives. (COMMUNITY)
