A church is more than the building it occupies. A church is created by the people and what they do inside and beyond the walls to help fulfill the teachings of Jesus. At Living Faith we strive to offer support and help to meet the physical, mental, and spiritual needs of our community. Below are a few of the ways we seek to do this:

  • Children’s Ministry

Includes Sunday School, Vacation Bible School, camping, dramas, participation in the church’s service ministries, etc. A fun creative children’s message is part of the morning worship, followed by Children’s Church.

  • E-mail Prayer Chain

Informs the entire congregation of prayer concerns within and beyond the church family and community as a whole. Such concerns are also shared and prayed for during the Sunday worship service.

  • Faith-building Field Trips

Give us hands- on contact with people and places which can increase our commitment to Christ: such as the Billy Graham Library, Passages Bible exhibit, JAARS, etc.

  • Church Fellowship Times

Fellowship to deepen our love and respectful relationships with each other. These gatherings sometimes include a meal. We laugh together and at ourselves, sharing stories and uplifting each other at the same time. The sense of a genuine loving accepting community is one of the important qualities we cherish.

  • Food Distribution

This is something we are expanding upon. We have a large garden from which we share fresh produce with the community. Other food items which we collect each week are donated then distributed by the Cooperative Christian Ministries.

  • Heifer International

This is one of the many outreach ministries we support. It was begun by the Brethren as Heifer Project, but has expanded to include others who continue to provide the precious gift of animals to the poor in 125 countries.
